Crews and Reese investigate the murder of two Iranian Americans and kidnapping of another. Not sure if this is a hate crime or not they try to work with the kidnappers. What they uncover is a boy trying to his mother's love. Early becomes concerned about Crews' impulsiveness when he wants to buy a solar farm after having a dream.
Write a Recap »Okay. First things first - they have sorted out the Crewes mobile. An updated muscle car I can definitely live with.
Meh: Everytihng to do with Reese's life and past. The "race crimes" angle. The rubbish crime story line. So uninspired, but am glad they veered away from the hatecrime angle. Prince of Persia.
Wow: Everything to do with Crewes. His Zen visualisation techinque was brilliant. The Ted angle - how he is nervous around the future wife of Crewes' dad. The Solar farm - was glorious at day and hauntingly beautiful at night.
Was mostly rubbish though, with bits of brilliance and humor seeping through.
Please stay clear of such mundane writing in future!
This was one of the best episodes in Life. hide show
This simply was one of the best episodes in life for me, one thing about this episode was there was some drama with the serial killing type. And now we know what Roman meant by asking Crew to ask his partner about the money. It wasn't his old partner, it was Reese. So it's molding into a good story too. But it's a bit draggy and Life needs something nice to spice up the episodes. And Earley and Crews dad's going to be wife is matching really well. I think it might turn out to be something she planed all along.
Crews and Dani investigate the murder of two young Iranian Americans. It looks like it was a hate crime, but it turned out to be a son's want for his mother's love. I didn't really like how the story turned out. They could have done so much with the racial tension and it would have been really interesting, but they just pinned it on a lost boy that wanted love. Seriously, who cares? Anyways, there were good parts in this episode. I really liked Early's little story with Crews' father's finace and the solar field. Also, the new information about Dani's father is intersting. Overall, not a very good story, but still good humor moments and good characterization.
What the hell was that? hide show
This episode was terrible.
Techno babble is unbearable... and prince of Persia part, and the girl doing the "air joypad" thing...
Ugh, I can't believe that was an episode of "Life".
Absolutely no main plot development or any other development what so ever.
This show it becoming a generic police show, and losing it's charm.
But I'm not giving up on it, yet, I'm hoping this was just an one time blunder and that the story will start to pick up in the episodes to come.
There isn't much more to say, epic fail episode.

I guess you could call this a two episode slide (or a funk) that the show is in. We did get another little clue to the overall mystery as we found out that Dani's father was in on the Swat Team Bank Robbery. Dani was only 12 at the time, so I'm certain she can be ruled out of the equation at this point in time. The case in this one was straightforward from the beginning. Three kids kill two others and steal the other one to try and gain access to a whole lot of money, though I thought Charlies speech at the end about love was acceptable enough for the kid to buy into. That entire scene actually reminded me a lot about the show Criminal Minds and how well that sctor would fit into that show. For some reason I just see him as a profiler kind of guy and if Life wasn't picked up would be a nice pickup for Criminal Minds. But what do I know about television. Because of the strike we are now down to 4 episodes remaining in the season and with how much of a snails pace the overall picture is coming into focus I'm going to assume its safe to say that this is going to be a multiple season story arch (likely two seasons, which would have been one complete one given the lack of a strike) Overall though I felt the episode had some slow pacing at time. Oliva and Charlies financial advisor spending the night together was a little weird and I didn't really see the point of the big picture there. Anytime he (cant remember his name) has camera time I actually kind of forget who he is for a second. Hes a minute character and I don't really care to see him too much. Average episode - nothing amazing here I dont think.
