Lily Taylor is a recognized American actress specially for her work in Independent movies for which she has been repeatedly awarded. She was born in Glencoe Illinois and grew up there together with her 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She graduated from New Trier High School and attended Goodman Theatre School of DePaul University, Chicago. She left the school after a year because they would not allow their students to take paying acting jobs while in school.

After leaving college she was a member of Naked Angels in New York City and then formed her own theater company, Machine Full. The first of a very long list of movies she has been on is Mystic Pizza.
