  It would be nice if what we are teaching our children were consistent, and correct! hide show

  While most of the Little Einstein shows are informative and clever, there should be more attention to detail if we're going to consider these educational. My son enjoys these shows very much, and I was watching the show with him. There is a point where the children need to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to get the animal snacks back from "Big Jet." They are given choices of animals into which their transport machine can transform. There is a giraffe, a monkey, and an elephant. When they asked, "What animal is best at climbing?", my son popped out with, "Monkey!", to which the Little Einstein character replied. "A chimpanzee." OK - now here's the problem ... The picture on the button was clearly a monkey (with a tail). When you tell the child he's wrong by saying "chimpanzee," you're not consistent, and you're wrong. I would think, of all TV shows, this one should definitely be consistent. I have to wonder what other things they are telling our children that are incorrect.
  
  Seems like a relatively small thing, but all those little things can add up.
