Little Richard was most famous for playing piano. (edit) Little Richard helped introduce the world to the musician Jimi Hendrix by adding him to his band in 1964. Two years later, Hendrix once said, "I want to do with my guitar what Little Richard does with his voice." (edit) Richard's 1956 song, "Long Tall Sally" went to #6 on the charts, and was the highest any of his songs would reach. (edit) Little Richard was on tour in Australia in 1957, where he says he was warned of his damnation in a vision. Because of this, he chose to quit the music business and became a minister. (edit) Little Richard grew up in a very religious family, and according to Richard himself, singing helped him feel closer to God. (edit)
