Lois: (snorting champagne in surprise) Oh! Well, thanks. (edit) Jonathon: (referring to the clone) Clark, I think there's one other thing we ought to consider. Why is he here? What does he want?
Martha: I saw this TV show once. There was a parallel universe...
Clark: Please Mom, don't get all sci-fi on me! (edit) Lex: (telling the Superman clone a bedtime story) And then the wolf said to Little Red Riding Hood, 'Are you sure the policy is in your name?' Little Red Riding Hood said, 'Well yes, Grandma promised that when she passed away I would inherit everything.' And then the wolf said, 'Hm, let's go pay Grandma a visit.' And so Little Red Riding Hood took off her hood and her cape and she gave them to the wolf.
Superman clone: And the wolf went through the forest to Grandmother's house and ate her! And then he and Red Riding Hood split the money. (edit) Dr. Leek: What makes you think he can win?
Lex: Because if it means the difference between winning and losing, he'll pick up a passenger train filled with people and use it to bash Superman's skull in. (edit)

This episode marks the first of five dual roles of either Lois or Clark, with Dean Cain playing both Superman and the Superman clone. (edit) When Clark goes to France, the signs in French hanging on the walls in the airport are filed with mistakes. (edit) When Clark came back from Paris, Lois ate one of the croissant. During all the speech, we can clearly see that the croissant has two different sizes. (edit)

The episode title "Vatman" is a nod to the other DC comic book hero Batman. (edit) Lois: I don't know... It's just bizarre!
Superman had a clone created by Lex Luthor with the same powers and whose name was Bizarro in the comics. (edit)
