Lord Peter Wimsey, younger brother of the Duke of Denver, is a scholar with time on his hands and a penchant for solving murder mysteries, aided by Bunter, his manservant and partner in crime-detection.

This popular series adapted five of the Lord Peter Wimsey novels by Dorothy L. Sayers, these ones first published between 1926 and 1934. Ian Carmichael reprised the role of Wimsey in a series of BBC Radio productions, but these fall outside the scope of this guide.
