  • Michael Bowen (Danny Pickett) appeared in the 1999 Paul Thomas Anderson film Magnolia along with April Grace, who played another "Other," Mrs. Klugh, in Season Two. Like Lost, Magnolia is about strangers with interconnected lives, and the number 8 plays a significant role in Magnolia, while it's one of Hurley's cursed numbers on Lost. Also in both Magnolia and Lost, Bowen and Grace played people who antagonize some of the main characters/protagonists.

  • The Glass Ballerina:

The title of the episode is alluding to the glass ballerina that Sun broke that belonged to her father. He asked who broke it and she said the maid, knowing it would get her fired. This shows Sun isn't as predictable as we thought, as further evidenced when she shot one of The Others. edit »
