Lynsey began as a child actress and later trained in London at RADA (the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts). Beyond her television and film career, she has done as much work on stage, including productions for the Royal Shakespeare Company - as Judith in The Dance of Death, Phoebe in As You Like It (1977, Stratford), The Girl in The Devil's Disciple and Styopka in The Zycoys - and in many West End productions. She has also worked for BBC Radio, including Abelard and Heloise (1999).
