  • Art & Copy is a 2009 documentary that explores the powerful influence that the advertising industry has exhibited over American life during the last fifty years. The film features interviews with numerous luminaries such as Lee Clow, Dan Wieden, George Lois, Hal Riney and Mary Wells Lawrence. Their signature achievements are explored in depth, particularly Clow's epic 1984 Apple commercial which created the "Think Different" slogan and introduced the Macintosh computer to the public, Wieden's creation of the Nike campaign that coined the phrase "Just Do It," Lois' numerous iconic covers for Esquire magazine, Riney's legendary commercials for Ronald Reagan's 1984 political campaign and Lawrence's place as the first woman to be the CEO of a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Art & Copy also explores some of the most popular advertisements of the last half-century, including "Where's the Beef" from Wendy's, "I Want My MTV," "I Love New York," and "Got Milk?"moreless
