  • Dial M for Murder is the 1954 3-D suspense sensation from the master himself, Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho, North by Northwest, Rear Window, The Birds, Frenzy). Ex-tennis star Tony Wendice (Ray Milland, The Lost Weekend, Markham, Love Story) wants to murder younger, wealthier, and much prettier trophy wife Margot (Grace Kelly, Rear Window, High Noon, To Catch a Thief). The beautiful Margot has fallen out of love with Tony, and is fonder of smooching with old school-friend and TV crime writer Mark Halliday (Robert Cummings, Saboteur, Kings Row). Tony hires an old school chum of his own, petty criminal Swann (Anthony Dawson, Dr. No, From Russian with Love, Tiger Bay), to come over and kill Margot, while he is goes out on an alibi dinner with Halliday. Chief inspector Hubbard (John Williams, Sabrina, Witness for the Prosecution) eventually arrives to try and sort out Tony's immaculately plotted, but regrettably imprecise, murder plan.moreless
