  • Don't You Forget About Me is a is documentary detailing the journey to find out what happened to legendary screenwriter, producer and director John Hughes. Four Canadian filmmakers including Michael Facciolo, Kari Hollend, Lenny Panzer and Matt Austin Sadowski, travel to Hughes' home state of Illinois to find out why he left the Hollywood scene. John Hughes is best known for writing more than a dozen films of the 1980s including "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," "Weird Science," "Pretty in Pink," "The Breakfast Club" and "Sixteen Candles." These movies involve the life of an average teenager and the issues that adolescents deal with. Around 1991, Hughes became reclusive and shied away from Hollywood, and this film documents the journey to find out why. In the process of searching for answers, the crew interviews those that were influenced most by Hughes including Judd Nelson, Kelly Lebrock, Roger Ebert, Andrew McCarthy, Ally Sheedy, Mia Sara and Annie Potts.moreless
