  • Gene Autry and the Mounties brings the singing cowboy back to the screen for another adventure. Gene (Gene Autry) is a marshal in Montana searching for a bank robbers Pierre LaBlond (Carleton Young) and Raoul Duval (Trevor Bardette). Joining him is his trusty steed Champion and deputy Scat Russell (Pat Buttram). As the trail leads into Canada, they meet Canadian Mounted Policeman Terry Dillon (Richard Emory), who was wounded and his partner killed by the outlaws. Nearby is a cabin where Marie Duval (Elena Verdugo) lives with her younger brother Jack (Jim Frasher). She takes the lawmen in even though her uncle is the outlaw they are chasing. Jack sneaks away to warn his uncle and his hero, LaBlond, but when LaBlond kidnaps Marie, Jack must re-evaluate his allegiance and decide if he'll help Gene and the Mounties capture the vicious gang. Gene Autry appeared in 93 feature films throughout his career, including 44 B Westerns where he played under his own name.moreless
