  • Hollywood Homicide is an action comedy from director Ron Shelton, who also co-wrote the film with Robert Souza. Veteran homicide detective Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford) and his new partner, rookie officer K.C. Calden (Josh Hartnett), both dream of a different life, although for very different reasons. Gavilan is in debt and sells real estate on the side. Calden teaches yoga part-time and dreams of being an actor. The partners are assigned to investigate a multiple murder scene at a local club. Four men are dead, all members of an up and coming rap act, H2OClick. The detectives look for answers within the recording industry, where the moonlighting cops try to get in on the action. Gavilan tries to broker a real estate deal, while Calden angles for an agent. When they do turn their attention to investigating, the trail leads them to Antoine Sartain (Isaiah Washington), the head of H2OClick's record label. Was H2OClick gunned down for trying to break their contract? Gavilan and Calden must keep their wits about them, and their heads in the game, if they are to survive this investigation.moreless
