Horsey is a Canadian independent drama about love, ambition and addiction. It was written and directed by Kirsten Clarkson and shown at the 1997 Hollywood Film Festival in California. In the film, aspiring painter Delilah Miller (Holly Ferguson) is 23-year-old bisexual nymphomaniac who makes a living by working in a porn shop. She lives in the city above a laundromat with her roommate Simon (Ryan Robbins), and despite her insatiable appetite for sex, she is desperate to start a real relationship. Enter self-absorbed, self-destructive, heroin-addicted, rock musician Ryland Yale (Todd Kerns). The two fall in love. However, when Ryland becomes possessive and undependable, Delilah finds herself trapped in an unhealthy relationship, forced to choose between physical desire and emotional well-being. She turns to her former lover Lilly (Victoria Deschanel) for support and she also receives advice and a safe place to stay from Mrs. Black (Tara Lea), an old religious woman.moreless
