  • movie Description
  • Lake Placid is a monster film that centers on Black Lake, a relatively sequestered town in Maine, as its occupants are terrorized by a mysterious creature hiding in the lake. When the body of a Maine Fish and Game researcher is found with an apparent fossil in it, paleontologist Kelly Scott is called in to investigate with the help of Fish and Games officer Jack Wells and Black Lake sheriff Hank Keough. The three, much to Kelly's horror, discover that the fossil is in fact a large tooth from a crocodile. Their investigation is hijacked by eccentric crocodile fanatic Hector Cyr. It seems that not only is there a crocodile attacking anything and everything around the lake, it is also at least thirty feet long. As the ill-prepared group tries to capture the creature without any more deaths, they have their work cut out for them as the crocodile definitely does not want to go and it might not be the only one.moreless
