  • Rosie: The Rosemary Clooney Story is a 1982 made-for-television film about the life of Rosemary Clooney (Sondra Locke). This biography takes a look into the bumpy life and career of the singer and television actress. It includes her rise to fame beginning with her early work as a child singing at election rallies for her Uncle. It moves on to her recording her famous songs such as "Come On A' My House", "Tenderly", and "Hey There". Her acting career took off not on the big screen, but rather on television as she hosted several of her own shows. The movie documents her current private life which is in turmoil. She is married to actor Jose Ferrer (Tony Orlando) who suffers from depression and drug abuse. Also, the assassination of her great friend Robert Kennedy leads to an enormous nervous breakdown removing her from the media scene. Will Rosemary ever return to her former success?moreless
