  • Step Brothers is an American comedy film starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as two grown men who must live together once their parents get married. Brennan Huff (Will Ferrell) and Dale Doback (John C. Reilly) are late bloomers who are each still living with their single parents. Brennan's mom, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen) and Dale's father, Robert (Richard Jenkin) meet at a convention and instantly fall in love. They get married and move in together bringing along their sons who are now step brothers. Brennan and Dale do not get along at first but soon realize that they have a lot in common which starts them on the path to becoming best friends. Step Brothers was written by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell along with Anchorman and Talladega Nights. The film received mixed to negative reviews. Roger Ebert gave it 1 1/2 out of 4 stars stating that '"Step Brothers" has a premise that might have produced a good time at the movies, but when I left, I felt a little unclean.'moreless
