  • The Day After Tomorrow is about the earth's sudden and catastrophic plunge into a new ice age induced by years of global warming. Based on his research, climatologist Jack Hall is convinced that the earth is on the verge of a global shift. His warning to the government, however, falls on deaf ears. Jack faces another dilemma, as his 17-year-old son Sam, is in New York on a class trip. Chaos erupts as catastrophic tornadoes, hail storms, plunging temperatures, and floods strike all parts of the planet. Sam and his friends are forced to take refuge in the Manhattan Public Library after a large wave sweeps over New York. With the northern part of the United States turned into a sheet of ice, Jack is determined to travel to New York. With weather conditions steadily growing worse, it is a race against the clock and the elements in order for Jack to save his son.moreless
