  • The Gnome-Mobile is a 1967 Disney family fantasy film directed by Robert Stevenson. The movie is based on a 1936 Upton Sinclair novel, The Gnomobile, and is the last film Walt Disney personally produced before his death. In the film, D.J. Mulrooney (Walter Brennan) is a hard-working businessman who has done very well for himself and his family. His grandchildren, Elizabeth (Karen Datrice) and Rodney (Matthew Garber), are very excited that their grandfather is coming to pick them up shortly, so he can show them a project he has been working on. The kids are amazed when they see the project and even more amazed when they meet some of the area's local inhabitants, Jasper (Tom Lowell), and his grandfather, Knooby (Walter Brennan). While talking to Jasper and Knooby, the Mulrooney's realize the duo are in grave danger and need their help. Unfortunately, D.J. gets in to some trouble of his own. Can the children help Jasper and Knooby without grandpa's help, or will the kids have to find a way to help all three of the men?moreless
