The Man Who Came Back
- movie Description
The Man Who Came Back is a traditional western film set in the Post-Civil War era. The storyline is based on the Thibodaux Masscre, the second bloodiest labor strike in US history. It is about a plantation manager, Reese Paxton (Eric Braeden), who was convicted of killing his own family by Judge Duke (George Kennedy) and, afterwards, tortured, beaten, and left for dead as a part of his punishment. The problem is that Paxton's family was actually murdered by the judge and his son, Billy (James Patrick Stuart), right before his eyes. Paxton later comes back to the plantation to avenge his family members' deaths and his wrongful conviction. No one, no matter how powerful, will be able to escape his fury. This is a thrilling action film that shows that in a sea of corruption and injustice, people can still remain uncompromised. The Man Who Came Back was directed by Glen Pitre and was released in 2008.moreless
