The Night of the Grizzly
- movie Description
The Night of the Grizzly is a classic Western film made in 1966 that celebrates a mean grizzly bear named "Satan" as a villain. The bear is after the livestock of Jim Cole (played by Clint Walker), a rough and tumble cowboy who has brought his wife Angela (Martha Hyer) to unsettled Wyoming to live on some land left to him by a relative. Jim Cole gives up his dangerous job as a lawman to take on responsibilities as a rancher, a job that he thinks is calmer and easier. Between the bear and the rough territory, the Coles face some tough challenges. Through it all, Hyer is convincing in her role as loving wife, though before this film, she usually played spoiled socialites. In addition to the exciting and wholesome plot, this movie includes breathtaking scenery from Big Bear Lake and San Bernardino National Forest, both in California. This is a good movie to watch with the family.moreless
