This movie follows Mark Renton (Ewan MacGregor) and his friends, played by Robert Carlyle and Jon Lee Miller, as they try to get their lives together. They are constantly faced with joblessness, bad relationships and drug addiction. Mark is desperate to kick his heroin habit but has an extremely hard time doing so. Everyone around him including his family and friends are drowned in sadness yet hope to see him turn his life around. His friends who have never touched drugs are curious to try out the drugs. Watch and see who succeeds at changing their lives for the better while others do not. Trainspotting is based on a novel by Irvine Walsh that touches base with life's harsh truths.
