The outlandish singer told fans in a live web chat with MySpace Music: "I keep hearing the rumour too, unfortunately it's just a rumour. I would be honoured to be asked - but I think at this point I'm just focusing on my career as a recording artist."

The 28-year-old singer-songwriter from San Diego has big plans for his career and is very ambitious about future collaborations.

He revealed: "To be able to work with David Bowie would be amazing, his imagination and creativity are beyond - he's an icon.

"I'd also like to sing with Christina Aguilera - I love her voice, I've been a fan since she came out and I think we would throw down and we would be loud.

"I would love to work with Rihanna - she is so down to earth and sweet and kind and friendly. Her tunes are so catchy and visually she is just giving you beauty."

But the gay singer is worried about finding love.

Adam confessed: "I have a fear of being alone - not being alone by myself, but I want to fall in love, and grow old with somebody and I just sometimes get scared that it's not going to happen."
