... Friday Night Lights and Lone Star alum Adrianne Palicki will play Wonder Woman in NBC's upcoming reboot. Didn't see that one coming. [Variety]

... If Matt LeBlanc, Mike Tyson, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jean Claude van Damme can do it, why not James Van der Beek? Fivehead will star in ABC's pilot Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 as an exaggerated version of himself who happens to be a friend of said bitch. And that bitch will be played by Krysten Ritter, whose name is all over my notebook with pretty little hearts and rainbows. The almost-trend of actors playing themselves might be getting out of hand, don't you think? [Vulture]

... Paula Abdul left American Idol and launched her own show Live to Dance. Now that can be more correctly stated "Paula Abdul left American Idol and is now looking for a job." Though nothing is official yet, rumors abound that Live to Dance has been canceled, and that Abdul was crushed to find out. Live to Dance was a flop, so as far as I'm concerned, them rumors be true. [Radar Online]

... Actress Laura Prepon (That '70s Show) has landed the high-profile gig in NBC's pilot based on Chelsea Handler's book Are You There Vodka, It's Me Chelsea. I think it's great that aging comediennes who somehow get by on pretending to be sexy can hire young, attractive actresses to play them in their on-screen biographies. Now if only Chelsea could do something about her personality. [Deadline Hollywood]

... Someone called up David Letterman's The Late Show and booked Lindsay Lohan to read a Top 10 List tonight, then Lindsay denied it, then everyone was confused about who did it. Turns out it was Father of the Year Michael Lohan, who swears he got Lindsay's consent, but says her reps shot the whole thing down. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. The other half of the battle is dealing with these people actually existing and wasting our precious oxygen. [TMZ]

... Programming Alert: The CW will re-air the pilot of Smallville on April 8, in case you forgot what Tom Welling looked like ten years ago. [TV Guide]

... Wendy Williams, she who loves to talk about her wigs and her vajayjay, has allegedly been booked for the next cycle of Dancing With the Stars. I only bring you the important news, folks. [NY Post]

... Anna Camp, who played sexy Reverend Steve's wife on True Blood and gave Jason an HJ in the bathtub, will join the NBC comedy pilot I Hate That I Love You. She's signed on for the role of Sarah, one of two lesbians who a couple sets up together. Man, she gets the most awesome roles. [Deadline Hollywood]

... Steven Seagal is heading back to the street to clean up vermin like you. Only this time, it will be in Phoenix, Arizona. Seagal's Steven Seagal: Lawman, an A&E; reality show that chronicles the former movie star's work as a deputy, has been given the okay to shoot the next season in Maricopa County. The first two seasons of the show were shot in Louisiana, but filming was shut down after Seagal was accused of sexual misconduct (the suit has since been dropped). [EW]

... Modern Family may lose one of my favorite cast members next year. Boo hoo! With the kids growing up, one of the young actors may not be of appropriate age for the storylines producers want to tell. That's right, the character who may be recast is... wait for it... waaaaaaaaait... almost there... the character who may be recast is... Lily. [TV Line]

What do they expect when they bring a baby in mid-season knowing a year is going to pass before the new season comes around. Babys grow fast. You cant get rid of lily though, were to smart to be tricked by a look-a-like

Oh no, say it isn't so! Lily can't leave Modern Family! There is no actress who can fill her shoes.

  • sweetsaintz Feb 18, 2011

No! Not Lily! Pls, not Lily!

Who cares about James Van der Beek? The reason to watch that show will be the lovely Krysten Ritter who was the best thing about the second Starz 1/2 hr comedy failure, "Gravity". Why not try another cable show Krysten - ABC, quite simply, sucks? Love the dig on the overrated yet never out of the spotlight Chelsea Handler. Someone who only has a show because she slept with the boss. Yeah, she deserves a show based on her.....

I love "Live to Dance". It was like going to a professional show, not a mere talent show. It's a shame they didn't bother to promote it better. I was really looking forward to more.

I actually kinda like Chelsea Handler.

F**k U Tim! You got me good with that one...

Laura Prepon would have been a way better Wonder Woman

I don't know, I kind of like the whole "actor's playing exaggerated versions of themselves" thing. I watch and kind of enjoy Episodes, with LeBlanc. Mike Tyson is great in Hangover. Doogie Howser is hilarious in the Harold and Kumar series. And I thought JCVD was a pretty good movie. Thinking about it, James Van Der Beek actually has experience in playing himself in a movie -- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

I never even considered Laura Prepon to play Chelsea, but she is kinda perfect for it.
