Californication renewed for third season

Showtime's Californication just keeps going and going and going. The cable network has picked up the comedy for a third season, and has targeted a late-2009 date for the 13-episode new season.

"This unapologetic show, about a group of characters led by the inimitable David Duchovny, has quickly established itself as one of our signature comedy series," said Showtime president of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt. "Beneath its veneer of debauchery, however, is a complex take on love and adult relationships that surprisingly turns poetic and romantic just when you least expect it. "

In Californication, David Duchovny plays Hank Moody, a sex-obsessed novelist with writer's block. Drama and comedy wrap around each other lovingly as we see how Hank's poor decisions and eccentric friends torment his personal life.

Sure, it may be filled to the rim with perverse jokes and bare butts, but Californication is like the hooker with a heart of gold. Agree?

I wasn't such a fan of the second season but I'll give it one more go.

Damn straight it got renewed. I never watched X-Files so i never knew what a good sense ofHumor Daid had. Love the show, kinda sick of Karen though.
