As the rash of giant sunglasses, vintage jackets, and shaggy hair indicates, retro is so hip it's almost uncool. But as long as it stays cool, people will try to make a buck off it--and that's a good thing for fans of classic television shows.

NBC today announced plans to stream full, ad-supported episodes of more than a dozen series from yesteryear on NBC-owned properties beginning this month. Among the series set to be shown online are The A-Team, the original Battlestar Galactica, Miami Vice, Kojak, and Simon & Simon. Some shows that aren't too dusty, such as mid-'90s sci-fi show Tek Wars (Shatner!) and 2003's Tremors will get their time online too. NBC did not say how many episodes of each series would be made available.

The shows will find online homes on several NBC-owned Web properties, including,,, and, with the appropriate shows residing on the appropriate site. For example, horror shows will stream on the fright-themed

NBC is already knee-deep in spearheading an online strategy with, an online destination for streaming episodes of NBC and Fox (a partner in the venture) shows such as Friday Night Lights, The Simpsons, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and The Office. Hulu is still currently in its beta phase and has yet to announce a public release date.

I would like t see the a couple of more *Full Episode* Seasons of Emergency go online here or NBC. There is one in particular where Capt. Stanly gets accidently electricuted while on a Rescue, but I honestly cannot remember the name of the Episode nor can I find the show on here. Hope people can help. I always liked the old ones from 70's thru the early 90's. Forever Knight comes to mind also.

"Watching too much stuff on your computer hurts the eyes."

Huh? I watch at least 3 hours of tv/movies on my computer every day, and my eyes are fine. Maybe you need a new monitor.
