"Community is back!"

... is something we'll be saying on February 7, provided NBC doesn't fool us one more time. After delays, reschedulings, firings, and quittings, Greendale Community College finally reopens its doors with the Season 4 premiere, "History 101," a goof on the teen tale of mass murder The Hunger Games.

And you know what? We have a clip.

The clip answers the biggest question regarding Season 4: Yes, we will see Britta in glasses, and yes, she still looks very hot in them. Also, knowing the Dean's proclivity for getting le freak on, there have to be a million red rubber balls out there with his bite marks on them. Aside from that, it's a strong clip, which hopefully deans means the show hasn't lost its wit or edge without creator Dan Harmon.

Community Season 4 premieres February 7 at 8pm.

Oh...Dear. Community lives, in a slow and painful coma kind of way...I'll still watch, but, oh god *gags*

Oh dear, are we really going down the big epic episode so damned soon? Granted, that looked not terrible, and referenced the dean using ball gags which is OH SO DISTURBING, but dropping into a gimmick episode has me worried because I'm a worrywart.

Loved the part at the beginning though.

Is it just me, or was that clip not funny at all? The intro was funny, but the clip makes me more worried than excited for the upcoming season.

The joke on the rubber balls was funny, provided you get that the dean is getting them from used B&D; ball gags he's worn. But yeah, not a "funny" scene so much as an over-the-top scene begging to be deconstructed a moment later.

So why is Britta wearing glasses and why is it a big deal?

  • tv_gonzo Jan 11, 2013

I think more narrow and squared glasses would Britta better then the round one she's wearing.

  • Big_Pecks Jan 11, 2013

Not the best clip choice, NBC.
