MTV Renews Finding Carter for Season 2

Viewers will have more time to find Carter. MTV has given a Season 2 renewal to its new coming-of-age tale Finding Carterwhich stars Kathryn Prescott as a teenager who discovers she was abducted as a child.

MTV has ordered 12 more episodes of the show, which is currently airing its first season and averaging 2.2 million viewers (including DVR playback within the first three days of air). According to MTV, Finding Carter is this year's No. 1 new cable series in its target 12-to-34-year-old demo.

"The creative minds behind Finding Carter did an exceptional job bringing this story to life and drawing our audience in," says MTV programming president Susanne Daniels.

Finding Carter also stars Cynthia Watros, Alexis Denisof and Anna Jacoby-Heron. The show airs Tuesdays at 10pm. In this week's episode, Carter and Taylor (Jacoby-Heron) discover that Elizabeth (Watros) is having an affair, and force her to come clean.

    I am not in the demo but I still enjoy it every week. It is not as good as faking it though.

    I watched the first two episodes. A very compelling premise and a great cast, a renewal might convince me to catch up...
