Fox Moves The Finder to Fridays

Just findin' things.

When the new Kiefer Sutherland drama Touch got the news that it would be moving to Thursday nights after an impressive preview performance in January, you can bet most of Fox was celebrating. Everyone except the previous tenant of that cherished post-American Idol slot. The Finder was all like, "Ummm guys, what about us?"

Well, Fox has found a new home for the Bones spin-off and will form a very alliterative evening of television when The Finder moves to Fridays before Fringe. Beginning April 6, the final three episodes of The Finder will air in the 8 o'clock slot. The show will remain in its current Thursday-night slot next week, then go on hiatus until April.

Gordon Ramsay's hotel renovation reality show, Hotel Hell, was supposed to air this spring on Fridays. It will now be held until the summer.

Moving The Finder to Fridays sounds like a death sentence, but... well, there are no buts. Mediocre ratings have almost guaranteed it's not coming back. And the writing was on the door when Fox moved Bones to Mondays and split up the siblings. But creator Hart Hanson still has hope, and sent out this Tweet earlier:

That's some good old fashioned glass-half-full stuff right there, Hart.

It's like a breath of fresh air to television. It's one of the best shows with a great concept that I've ever seen. I think it's loads better than anything else on now, which in FOX's eyes means it should be cancelled... of course... This show has to make it. (I can't believe in this day and age that they still use Nelson Ratings.)

Just thinking of loosing The Finder is making me madder than tv has ever made me.

KEEP IT RUNNING.... For longer than shows that are just okay, like BONES...

I like The Finder too! It took me a couple of episodes to get into it, I didn't like the episode that screened as part of Bones but thought I'd give the series a chance anyway and now I'm hooked!! Please don't let it get cancelled!

I'm thoroughly enjoying the show. It has its moments, but overall it's enjoyable!

I like the Finder, it's really gotten into a good campy groove and it's a fun show. I don't want it to be cancelled...

i really couldn't care less I've never watch the show and I never will but how can anyone possibly refer to this crap and BONES as "siblings"? Okay so the paranoid nut job who likes to strip nailed and take a crap on dead people's toilets was in one episode of BONES and somehow that makes them related I THINK NOT!

  • NeeUyank Mar 04, 2012

the show is a spinoff, so they are siblings and it is good, no, it is actually much better than most of the procedurals on tv.. it is witty, interesting, different and funny.. and apart from this: if you never wached the show and never will, how on earth could you decide if the show is a crap or not?? you obviously "think not" as often as you should, especially before writing..
