Under the agreement, Foxtel will appear as a tile under the Video Market Place in the Xbox Dashboard, and users will have access to more than 30 channels and Movies on Demand at launch.

Foxtel executive director Patrick Delany acknowledged the challenges of file sizes and download caps during his presentation. Previously, Microsoft has said that it is in talks with Australian internet service providers to offer Foxtel on Xbox 360 unmetered, but no new information on potential ISP partnerships was given at today's event.

Microsoft Australia announced the partnership with local pay-TV provider Foxtel in May, but is yet to detail any pricing or availability. However, users will need an Xbox Gold subscription to access the service, which currently costs AU$8 per month.

Like the current video streaming experience on the Xbox 360, users will be able to enter into party mode, allowing them to watch content with friends over Xbox Live.
