FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18

7 p.m., ESPN

NBA All-Star Celebrity Game

It’s the NBA vs. Tinseltown in the kick-off event of NBA All-Star weekend. Celebrity players include Justin Bieber, Jimmy Kimmel, Common, and... Jason Alexander? Sure, why not.

8 p.m., CBS

The Defenders

Nick (Jim Belushi) represents a judge (guest star Dan Aykroyd) who's been charged with several counts of drug possession. I wonder if they’ll sing a duet after the court date.

9 p.m., FOX

Fringe

Who cares that the case of the week involves a widow in mourning? It’s all about the baby-daddy drama now. After a week of waiting, we get to see whether Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Olivia (Anna Torv) can strengthen their emotional bond—or whether Fauxlivia will tell him about her bun in the oven and screw everything up again.

NBA All-Star Saturday Night

It’s time for the skills challenge, the three-point shootout, and my personal favorite, the slam dunk contest! Ballin’. Literally.

Series 3 premiere, 9 p.m., BBC America

Being Human

Though SyFy's American remake of this show is still in its first season, the original British version is starting its third! In the premiere, Annie's (Lenora Crichlow) friends try to get her out of purgatory—but Mitchell (Aidan Turner) decides to travel to the Afterlife in order to find her.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 20

Season 18 premiere, 8 p.m., CBS

The Amazing Race

The theme of this season is “Unfinished Business”—and that means the return of teams from previous seasons, including cowboys Jet and Cord McCoy and goths Kent Kaliber and Vyxsin Fiala.

9 p.m., NBC

Saturday Night Live Backstage

This behind-the-scenes special features audition clips, fan-favorite skits, commentary from stars like Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and interviews with guest hosts like Alec Baldwin and Jon Hamm.

9:30 p.m., FOX

The Cleveland Show

It’s a day of revelations for Cleveland: Not only does he find out that he and Donna aren’t legally married, but he also learns that Terry is gay—and dating some dude named Paul (guest star Justin Timberlake). Then, all four of them head to Vermont for a double wedding!

Season 1 finale, 9:30 p.m., SHO

Episodes

It was a short season, sure, but a sweet one, too. In the first-season finale, Pucks! finishes shooting, so Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig) can return to England—but not before Sean senses something fishy between Beverly and Matt (Matt LeBlanc).

CSI: Miami

  • shootingstar609 Feb 20, 2011

Fringe!!!!! I loved the storyline with the two people who can't let go of each other. I also liked the implied scientific explanation of ghosts as people from the other side who are in the same place we are and have a connection. As always, Walter's meddling is adorable.
