In Memoriam: Remembering the TV Shows We Lost in 2012 (VIDEO)

By TV.com Staff

Dec 20, 2012

Another year, another shockingly high number of chalk outlines around dead TV shows lining the streets of Canceltown. Seriously, every year when we sit down to compile this video, we're surprised not only by how many series have ended, but by how quickly we've forgotten some of them. But no TV series can last forever, and 2012 saw the end of some biggies. It also saw the end of some, er, barely-made-a-dent-ies. And so it's only fitting that we pay our respects to the shows we've loved and lost (plus a few we were happy to see go). Here's our video tribute to the shows we said goodbye to this year.

Fare thee well, old friends. You will be missed. Some of you more than others.

Editor's Note: A few of the shows in this year's video *technically* ended in 2011, but weren't confirmed canceled until later. Likewise, we made a few judgment calls on shows we *know* are ending but haven't quite finished their runs. So please don't yell at us in the comments, okay? Please?

Which recently deceased show will you miss the most?

Chuck, One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, The Secret Circle, Breakout Kings and Terra Nova.
The first 3 in the list I understand they had their time, but the last 3 didn't. I really enjoyed Terra Nova it was fun and a little different. The hurt from TSC cancellation still burns I loved that show... too soon, too soon!!!! But I recently watched the 2 seasons of Breakout Kings and found it to be an incredibly well written show. I loved the complex nature of the "anti-heroes" and I loved of course the character of Lloyd Lowery, acted by the brilliant Jimmi Simpson. It was a really good show and ended on a cliff hanger of course. (Take in mind a cliff hanger where they didn't even get to finish the conversation they were having because it would define the entire next season. Damn it!! I guess it still burns, but thats probably due to the fact I finished watching the 2nd season about 15 minutes ago. Fuck you A&E;!!!!
P.S. I feel the same way about Alphas!!!!!! Fuck you Syfy!!!!!!
