The dead just cannot stay dead on TV these days. In BBC America's upcoming miniseries Intruders, people have trouble staying lifeless but with a twist: a secret society is chasing immortality by hopping from one body to the next. Take a look at the trailer:

The series was created by Glen Morgan (The X-Files) and if you're into spoiling the fun for everyone else, you can read Michael Marshall Smith's book The Intruders that it was based on. That's Life on Mars' (UK original edition) John Simm and Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite) starring, with Tory Kittles (True Detective) and James Frain (True Blood) supporting.

BBC America also announced a premiere date for the eight-episode series: August 23 at 10pm. I'm gonna watch. Are you gonna watch?

If anyone knows where this show will air in Canada, please let me know. It looks so good!

I really enjoyed the book that this show was based on, and am delighted it was made into a tv show show so I'll DEFINITELY be watching.

You got me with Glen Morgan. I'm in.

Glen Morgan? Mira Sorvino? Audrey Raines' estranged husband that Jack Bauer allowed to die during Day 4? How is this any more British than an episode of Remington Steele?

And isn't it a sad commentary that one of The X-Files' best writer/producers apparently has nothing more recent to hang his hat on, whereas Howard Gordon can cite Angel, 24, or Homeland? Even Greg Berger can bring up something more recent than The X-Files.

I didn't find this compelling when it was last season's 'the vampire diaries'.

  • Ankh49 Jun 23, 2014

In defence of the show it was based on a book that came out long before it happened in The Vampire Diaries.

that's the first thing that came to mind when I heard it wasn't just people coming back.
