Celebrities were out in force on Friday night in Sydney for the Australian Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.

The Sydney Entertainment Centre played host to the orange carpet, and the infamous gallons of slimes that were destined to coat numerous celebs and unfortunate audience members.

Jessica Mauboy, Jerry Trainor and Miley Cyrus' squeeze Liam Hemsworth were the lucky presenters who got to see all the action up close.

Other features of the award ceremony were Rove, Australia's Got Talent winners Justice Crew, and MasterChef Australia's Matt Preston.

The big winners of the night included Cody Simpson, who won the Fresh Aussie Muso award, and Twilight: Eclipse which took the Fave Movie gong.

Fave TV show went to iCarly, Justin Bieber won Hottest Hottie and Rove McManus snapped up the Awesome Aussie award, but this did not grant him immunity from a good sliming.

Presenter Liam Hensworth took home the award for Fave Kiss, for his pash with girlfriend Miley Cyrus in the movie The Last Song.

Also featured in the two-hour ceremony were band Short Stack, with bonus performances by Guy Sebastian and Rai Thistlewayte.
