Watch the Awful Trailer for TNT's Legends, Starring Game of Thrones' Sean Bean (VIDEO)

If you think all good TV trailers contain dark and blurry promotional shots of the cast, cryptic voiceover with digi-fart sound effects, and not a whole lot of information about the show that's being promoted, I've got a present for you! Take a look at this two-minute trailer for TNT's Legends, which stars Game of Thrones' Ned Stark (Sean Bean) as a special agent who is so good at transforming into different people for his job that he doesn't even know who he is anymore. WHOA.

This looks like a horrible teaser for a bad video game. "When your memory is a lie, where do you find the truth?" You tattoo it on your body, silly!

Let's hope the series itself is better than whatever we just watched.

Legends premieres Wednesday, August 13 at 9pm on TNT.

If Bean is the focus of the show, what are they going to do when his character inevitably dies at the end of the first season?

Is Sean Bean not also one of the actors in Deadliest Catch ;-) and sorry about this spoiler but he is still alive in S10!

they barely look the same at all . hah

Oh gawd I hate loonie characters. Just can not stand them!

Yeah, not a lot going on here. I don't like when trailers tell you too much anyway so I guess that part is fine. It just made me think of other false memory movies like Total Recall, okay there have been others but Total Recall popped in my head and now all I can think of is "See you at the party Richter!" and I can't think of any other false memory movies. Anywho, I'll watch the pilot for Sean Bean alone but I certainly don't have my hopes up here. Also, am I the only one turned off by TNT's new tagline "BOOM"? Really? That's really all you could come up with? "We know drama" was fine just like Sci Fi imagine greater - I loved that tag line before they changed their network name in one of the dumbest moves ever. I digress....

Each to their own but I actually thought this trailer looked interesting. Original, unique, and intriguing. Creatively speaking, it looked like a battle between good and evil, light and dark.
I definitely wouldn't say it was an AWFUL trailer. I've seen plenty of awful trailers and this wasn't one of them. This trailer got me interested and wondering what its about which is exactly what a trailer is supposed to do.

I thought TV.com was supposed to be an authority on TV content but lately I keep finding myself totally disagreeing with your opinions. More than a matter of personal, individual taste, your supposed to be speaking to a community of TV consumers and have some idea what we will like. You keep getting this very wrong.

Okay, so my big question is: Who is going to be the main character after Sean Bean dies?

  • Glennen Jun 19, 2014

Lol. So true. Poor Sean Bean usually dies pretty early

  • techngro Jun 19, 2014

Nuh-uh. In 'The Field', he didn't die until the very end.

But I guess dead is dead.

Can't we just remake Nowhere Man?

  • jackwagon Jun 19, 2014

Remake it? Why not continue it???

I bought the DVD set when it was released a few years ago and watched the interview with Lawrence Hertzog and Bruce Greenwood. Hertzog said he got word from UPN they were cancelling the show a little over halfway through the season, but they wanted him to be able to write a conclusion to the conspiracy. It was a good idea, one that isn't often given to many series.

The only problem is, the finale raised way too many questions that were never answered. I'd much rather see the series continued somehow, rather than remake it.

  • P3TE Jun 19, 2014
