Mick Jagger's SNL Promos Have Moves Like Kristen Wiig (VIDEO)

I know, I'm just as confused by the headline of this story as you are, but I hate that freaking song and I hope Saturday Night Live comes up with a good way to skewer it this weekend when Mick Jagger makes his way to Studio 8H to host the Season 37 finale. This will be the first time Jagger has hosted solo—he's appeared before with some act called the Rolling Stones—and he'll be joined by multiple musical guests: Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, and Jeff Beck. So here are his promos, which also feature the delightful Kristen Wiig.

Relish this weekend's episode, kids: Not only is it the last new one until it September, it may be the last to feature Wiig and Jason Sudeikis as regular cast members, if the pesky yet seemingly ever-present departure rumors are true.

And also maybe this will happen again?

SNL is nothing like it use to be. In the 70s, 80s, and even the 90s. But in my mind it has ran out of life.

Kristin Wiig is 'delightful'? Since when?

  • rishabhpb May 17, 2012

Yes, do tell. I'm sure none of us have ever heard why someone could be sick of Kristen Wiig and SNL.

Really? I love Kristen Wiig! What do you *dis*like about her?

  • numberonecubsfa May 17, 2012

It has mainly to do with the fact that she isn't funny. Her popularity seems to stem more from 'Hey, she's a woman who isn't telling the tired jokes most women comedians tell, how wonderfully refreshing!' than any sort of inherent humor she actually presents in her writing or delivery. Bridesmaids is a cinematic testament to this.

Sure, okay, I can see people being tired of her. Sometimes I think some of her characters bleed into others and kind of disolve into "Kirsten Wiig doing her thing." But I do think she is funny and I love her weirdness. Also I think she's incredibly talented with regard to some of her insane line delivery.

There's been some really interesting stuff written both for and against Bridesmaids and I have to admit I don't have a super strong opinion about it one way or the other. But still, Team Kristen! To each his own.

I've been a HUGE fan of hers since I first saw her on SNL as Penelope. Before that I thought she was hilarious in Knocked Up, but really took notice of her on SNL. She is so funny. Almost everything she does in a movie cracks me up. Loved her in Ghost Town, MacGruber, Paul, Bridesmaids, etc... She is one of the funniest women in Hollywood. Obviously with her popularity there will be haters, but to each their own. I love her facial expressions and deliveries and can't wait for all her future projects.

The "what a waste of magic" promo had me in stitches. Looks like Mick might make for an awesome host...
