Mole, Bachelorette return to ABC

With no end to the writers strike in sight, ABC has sifted through its vaults for new programming and found a pair of reality shows that have been on the shelves for the past few years.

If all goes according to plan, this summer will see the return of The Bachelorette, the XX-chromosome version of The Bachelor, says Variety. The Bachelorette, which last aired in 2005, is a glorified dating game, which sees one female pick from a heap of potential male suitors.

The network has not yet announced any specific details or if there will be any twists on the tried-and-true formula.

Earlier this week, the network announced that it also bringing back The Mole, which has been underground since 2003's Celebrity Mole. The Mole's format sees a group of contestants who must identify the "mole," a player who pretends to be a normal contestant and tries to stay incognito.

ABC has not announced a premiere date and is currently looking for contestants and someone to replace Anderson Cooper as host.

While The Mole features people trying to stay undercover and not noticed, a show featuring a pair of people trying to do anything to get noticed is also coming back. A&E; has renewed the reality show The Two Coreys for a second season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The show follows former 1980s Teen Beat mainstays Corey Feldman and Corey Haim, who have appeared in several movies together including The Lost Boys and License to Drive. At the conclusion of the premiere season, the two former best buds were apparently at odds and reps claim they have not seen each other since.

The Mole and The Bachelorette are returning and people are excited? How sad.
As far as the Two Corey's are concerned, my five year old could write for that show and those two morons would still find a way to mess it up.

Very excited to see the Mole return. It was a great show. I hope the UK follow suit and brink back the UK version too.

I am upset about the strike, but I support the writers regardless of how annoying it is that I can't watch full seasons of my favourite dramas and comedies.

Glad to see "The Mole" is coming back. That show was so different than any other reality game show. Hopefully it won't be a lousy celebrity addition.

I'm sorry... there is nothing positive in this announcement. It is like reading retractions to obituaries for people you hated.

It will be great to see The Bachelorette comming back. I like to see the men competing to be that special one. As for the Mole, oh well.

everyone on this page who says something positive is responsible for the decline of television programming. the fact that you people not only watched these crapality shows & are actually excited about their return, bothers me so much. your tv's should be confiscated. really you shouldn't be allowed to watch tv.
