Netflix Renews Hemlock Grove for Season 2

By Jen Trolio

We haven't seen the last of Hemlock Grove's puking, disruptive boob-touching, and eye-popping werewolfing! Netflix has renewed the Eli Roth-helmed horror series for Season 2, ordering 10 episodes with a target launch date of 2014. The company has also announced that Charles H. Eglee will join the series as an executive producer and showrunner; Eglee's previous EP credits include The Walking DeadDexter, and The Shield

Because Netflix has yet to release any hard data with regard to how many people are watching any of its original series—which now include House of Cards and the recently released fourth season of Arrested Development, with Orange Is the New Black slated to launch in July—I can't really tell you how successful Hemlock Grove is, at least from a business standpoint. But Roth can! Here's his official, company-approved statement, straight from the press release.

The worldwide fan response to Hemlock Grove was phenomenal. Netflix members loved the potent combination of sexy monsters, mystery, and the dark family soap opera that ended with a huge twist, leaving audiences worldwide totally shocked. Season 1 was just a warmup for what we have in store for Season 2. Get ready to be scared in ways you never expected.

Well gee, when you put it that way... I probably still won't watch it, since I personally didn't feel compelled to watch much of Season 1. Did you? If so, will you be back for Season 2?

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! The only thing I'm mad about is that it took me so long to start watching it. I have totally binge watched for 2 days.

OHH MY GOD, THIS SHOW!!!! It seems like I've been waiting FOREVER for the new season to begin. This show is sooo addictive that literally I watched season one last spring I think it was and it was so good, I stopped watching at the last two episodes just because I knew I would have to wait for season 2 and I wanted to transition into the next season. I just didnt want it to end. Netflix SERIOUSLY need to change the time length in which they add new episodes because we are ALL waiting for our favs a lot too long, so long in fact that often we forget we are waiting and move on to other show. Im just saying FYI if show success begin on viewers popularity then adding new episodes in a timely manner is KEY ingredient. .

At first i didn't exactly understand how Christina was the killer, But then she knew the new family (Peter) was a werewolf and she drank from a print that was found in the woods. Then at the beginning it showed Shelley and what she looked like and there was nothing further, And probably because shes the Father or JR, He killed himself knowing what Olivia[mum] was or Is. And i didnt understand what shelley was, But because Olivia killed babies in the past because they weren't vampire like at all. Shelleys father must of rushed her to Dr Pryce.. And the baby of Letha is Romans. He raped her. I can't wait for the second season. And i think there should be a third. But because Peter doesn't know that Roman has turned into his vampire form fully, Or that he raped Letha, And Lethas story is far from over because at the very end it shows the girl in the Incubator. Well that was Letha because Dr.Pryce bought her back to life like Shelley. And when Peters mum and Peter said bad things happen to those who don't have there heads chopped off, Well the story of Christina is far from over aswell.

I absolutely loved season 1 and I've been waiting for a second season since I finished it! I thought the characters were good, the plot was interesting without being too jumpy and unpredictable. It did take me some time to catch on with how they presented the show but by the third episode I was completely hooked!

My husband and I sat down to see what this was all about, so it took me all of a weekend with my children off, and my husband never did get to finish. I could not stop got all the house work done, and my husband had to work ... I am sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting for Season two. It will not take me long to see it but I will be very happy.
