Syfy Renews Lost Girl for Season 4

Thank you, Canada! Because of your commitment to science-fiction programming, we Americans can mooch off you to fulfill our own television needs. Syfy announced today that it's ordered a fourth season of Lost Girl, which is currently in its third season. The order is for a lucky 13 episodes.

The announcement comes simultaneously with Canadian broadcaster Showcase revealing that it will produce a fourth season of its top-rated show. Syfy takes advantage of the cheaper cost of importing the show, making it a lot easier to air another season of Lost Girl than it is to air another season of, say, Alphas, which it footed the bill for itself. Syfy also borrows Continuum from Showcase.

Lost Girl follows seductive succubus Bo (Anna Silk) as she straddles the line between the forces of good and evil, and the responsibilities of the human and supernatural worlds. Also, apparently stuff like this happens:

Lost Girl airs Mondays at 10pm on Syfy.

Finally a show with some adult (as in grownups) dialogs and thought !
I also like scope/range it covers from myth to modern topics/issues.
OK, the women are hot... But they are also interesting, (really)
I'm also glad that it's not made in USA cause the "nuts" would have shut it down by now ;)
Which also makes me wonder why the late night reruns on syfy & chill went away suddenly.

Haven't watched in a while because I don't get Bo and Lauren at all. They doom one character (Dyson) to never finding love again, and I'm supposed to approve of Bo & Lauren? All I can do is feel bad for Dyson...

I suggest you start watching again, or at least watch the season 2 finale.
I won't spoil, I'm just saying... it might make you feel better

I don't really care what Syfy does (as I watch LG independent of the channel). That said, I'm very impressed with Showcase. I recently picked up Continuum and I like it a lot. They seem to handle Sci-Fi shows a hell of a lot better than Syfy and as a huge fan of Science Fiction, I'm happy to see it alive and kicking out there.

I was bored and gave continuum a shot despite what seemed a weak story line. But was really surprised at how much it worked, how much I liked it and how solid a character Cameron is. They did a good job on that.

    Indeed they did...

It's a Showcase show, they renewed it, anyway fantastic news. Hope for a longer season next time, can't get enough of sexy succubus and dr hotpants :)

Because , apparently, stuff like that happens...

Great renewal to me. This is a very entertaining show.

Great news!!!! Love this show...!!! Kensi is awesome...!!! Espcially the eisode Kensi's Scale...she was brilliant!!! Dyson is getting a bit annoying an naive...it seems...

I agree 100% with Katherina! I LOVE this show- it was my favorite show with the Garuda (however you spell it) Storyline- and the Season with Bo's mom was phenomenal - but this new urgency to push sex- and girl-on-girl may appeal to their target demographic, (which i am sure is sorta important) but i really get bored with it too, i miss the intricate stories, did they lose writers? And to be honest i really miss the Dyson/Bo dynamic- even though when they finally were a couple - it seemed like the writers were just trying to make us hate them as a couple...
Please get back to the roots- heh- but even running at half speed- this show is awesome! Keep fighting the good fight- for good TV :)

You really need to get back to watching the show. It has tamed down alot, so much so that I can let my 12 boys watch it without worrying about the sex issue. Season 3 is more about Bo find out her father's side & even then, episode 13 is a cliff hanger. You still don't know who he is. The only thing I'm worrying about is if Season 3 is only going to be 13 episodes or will it match Season 2?

Oh hun, i never quit watching it! Even at its worst, it's still the best show on TV.
Lost Girls worst Episode could kick the @$$ of any other show on air today!
I too hope they make next season a FULL one, They better- with THIS long of a wait!

I am so glad they ordered Season 4, I actually do enjoy the show. The storylines aren't actually that bad. But I didn't enjoy Season 3 as much as it's always boobs and sex and there is only so much boobs and sex a show can give. I hope the storyline will get better. I also enjoyed the show that doesn't make 'lesbianism' the main thing (like L word) but more like a storyline about a girl who simply love any (of age) human beings :).

I also agree with an earlier comment that they are making Lauren out to be this boring nerdy doctor (who even utters doctor stuffs during sex), I wish they give her a more punchy storyline... in time.

This show is pretty much a guilty pleasure for me, so yay!

I'm thrilled for another season, but wish the writers would give the blond dr better stuff than the occasional medical-need and Bo's GF. Ever since Dr solved her original GF's medical-mystery, it's been downhill for Dr Blond.

Dyson's evil (& of course gorgeous) partner isn't quite as evil as we'd been led to believe - more please, cuz I like it when you force me to like someone evil LOL
