TBS Renews Conan Through November 2015

Team Coco lives on! TBS has extended Conan O'Brien's contract and renewed Conan through November 2015, proving that the literally red-headed stepchild of network TV's late-night game is doing just fine on cable (and the internet), thank you very much.

From TBS's perspective, this decision was an easy one; according to the network, Conan's audience boasts a younger median age than any other late-night talk show. Combined with the host's popularity on the internet, that's exactly what TBS wants. Here's the official statement from the network's programming chief, Michael Wright:

When we invited Conan O'Brien to come to TBS, we knew he would bring with him a passionately loyal following of young adults. Conan and his colleagues at Team Coco have gone far beyond that by making CONAN the top late-night brand in the digital arena. We are proud to extend our relationship with Conan as he continues to forge the future of late night. I just wish we didn’t decide to tell him on April Fools' Day.

Personally, I love Conan himself... but I have to admit that I've kind of forgotten about him in the last couple years, outside of watching the occasional clip online, and usually only if one of my friends shares it. What about you? Do you watch Conan regularly? Who's winning the late-night war for your attention span these days?

As much as I love Conan and am happy he will be on the air for another two years part of me wishes it was in some other format. He seems bored of this type of show and seems much happier when you see him on Serious Jibber Jabber. It's a shame he hasn't had much success in developing other shows.
Anyway, as tired as the late-night set-up is becoming I will continue to watch Conan and laugh.

I'm glad that Conan is making it work on TBS, I know they had ratings question marks for a while.

Still, the only one I watch consistently is Craig Ferguson, he completely supplanted Conan for me.

Conan is my late-night hour of choice.

Conan's staying. Seems the world's coming to an end just a little slower now.

I love everyone on this list...except Leno...who is truly, truly terrible

This is great news! I love Conan, and his 'clueless gamer' clips are always hilarious!

Yay, good for you Conan! I too love Conan but have fell out of watching him religiously like I used to, just can't seem to stay up anymore : ) But glad to know he'll be there for when I'm up and want to turn it on and for his really funny clips online. Him and Fallon are the two I enjoy the most.

For me its pretty clear, I enjoy basically everyone on some things but on the regular, I watch Conan and Fallon the most, plus I'll occasionally watch Leno in between if I'm bored and I watch Jon Stewart sometimes. Never have been a huge fan of Colbert, I mean I like him but not all the time. Also, Chelsea Handler has her moments

I don't watch Conan at all but then again I stopped watching Letterman shortly after he left NBC. But lately I really haven't been watching any late night talkshows lately.

I lost tbs on my basic cable subscription, but I admit, I've check out a lot of videos online since they allowed Canadian users to watch videos again! I still think he's genuinely more funny than Letterman or Leno.
