TEN unveils summer programming
Channel TEN has released its summer schedule and it is bringing back many television favourites to our screens.
Supernatural fans are in for a treat with the latest series of Sam and Dean's adventures. Set to appear this season is one Paris Hilton, appearing as herself, and a "Changing Channels" episode in which the boys wind up in a sitcom, and CSI and Grey's Anatomy parodies.
The Office finally wins an early time slot, set to screen at 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Cleveland Show will premiere, Seth MacFarlane's spin-off from Family Guy. The animated series only premiered in the US in September. TEN also has the new comedy Accidentally on Purpose featuring Jenna Elfman, Jon Foster, Grant Show and Ashley Jensen.
US drama White Collar premieres after the Celebrity MasterChef Australia finale. It sees Matt Bomer star as con-man Neal Caffrey, who escapes from prison but is caught by his nemesis, FBI agent Peter Burke (Tim DeKay). The two will work together to try and catch other elusive criminals in exchange for Caffrey's freedom.
Neighbours will wrap up on December 4th.
But by far the biggest surprise is a one-hour episode of the 7pm Project that will air on both Mondays and Fridays, throughout December and January. TEN is keen to take advantage of shifts in lifestyles and softer programming to see the show win new viewers.
Whilst there is less pressure on shows to perform over summer, they still have to pay their way. Shows can still get pulled from schedules during the non-ratings period.
TEN will be hoping it's just given us plenty to keep us entertained.
