What to Watch Tonight: Scandal, Suits, and Another Game of Community D&D
What to watch on Thursday, March 20...
8pm, The CW
The Vampire Diaries
Damon struggles to spill his guts to Elena in “While You Were Sleeping.” Meanwhile, Caroline makes a disturbing discovery in Wes’s files, Enzo offers to help the gang, and Elena befriends fellow Whitmore student Luke, who is clearly unaware of what happens to just about anyone who becomes friends with Elena Gilbert.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
In “Heart of the Matter,” the Knave must pay a high price to rescue the Red Queen from peril, while Alice and Cyrus shift gears after stumbling upon a shocking revelation about Jafar’s prisoners. Flashbacks reveal how a betrothed Anastasia’s friendship with Cora had ramifications for Will.
The teams endure tests of teamwork during a tricycle relay race, and later face the wrath of Chef Ramsay after a subpar dinner service.
The birth of his grandson does little to thaw the relationship between Prof. Hickey and his estranged son (David Cross). Lucky for him, in this group there’s one surefire way to resolve emotional conflicts: a thrilling romp through “Advanced Advanced Dungeons & Dragons.”
Parks and Recreation
Now Ann-less, Leslie declares an impromptu “Galentine’s Day” in hopes of forging new friendships. Elsewhere, Ben and Tom negotiate for Unity Concert tents, and Ron tends to Andy.
“Moot Point” finds Harvey squaring off against a rival from law school, though remember that for Harvey the word “rival” means “sentient being he’s met even one time.” Down the hall, Jessica does her damnedest not to get sucked into the Louis-Scottie feud.
The Red Road
Harold’s bargain with Kopus leaves him in a tight spot in “The Bad Weapons”—and possibly on the wrong side of the law.
9pm, The CW
Courtship is in the air in “The Darkness” as the castle hosts the 16th century equivalent of speed dating, though Lola shies away from joining in. Meanwhile, Kenna doesn’t like King Henry when he’s angry, and Bash is spooked by the woods.
As her birthday gift to him, Bailey gives Richard the chance to scrub in on a milestone case. I mean, yeah he’s had his eye on the Criterion Collection Blu-Ray of Thief for weeks now, but sure, totally, surgery is cool too. Elsewhere in “We Gotta Get Out of This Place,” Callie flabbergasts Derek, Shane assists a young mother-to-be, and Meredith recruits a research assistant.
Sally’s sit-down with the NRA gives the White House conniptions in “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.” At Pope & Associates, the team greets a surprising potential client while Olivia and Huck make alarming discoveries.
“Eye for an Eye” finds Ragnar and Ecbert meeting in person at last, but will their tête-à-tête presage compromise or conflict? In Kattegat, Jarl Borg’s tyrannical rule compels Rollo to step up as a leader.
An ‘80s punk emerges from a coma in “Pull-Out King,” which also finds Carrie going out with a tax lawyer, Nina dropping a bombshell on Lance, and Malcolm and Kris getting their tailgate on at a live performance of “Prairie Home Companion.”
Joel inadvertently leaves Victor stranded after baseball practice, Amber exhorts Drew to seize control of his fate, and Max has a tough time connecting with classmates on a field trip. Meanwhile in “The Offer,” Sarah is on pins and needles waiting for the ad agency’s verdict.
10pm, Comedy Central
Tonight’s review subjects are pancakes and divorce. Come to think of it, Pancakes and Divorce would make a splendid title for the collection of literary short fiction I plan to pen someday.
12:30am, Cartoon Network
Check it Out! With Dr. Steve Brule
The good doctor elucidates all things equine in “Horse.” Or possibly plays the playground hoops game of that name. The official episode synopsis is pretty fuzzy.
