What to watch on Tuesday, April 22...

8pm, Fox
It’s time to put on makeup, it’s time to dress up right, it’s time to raise the curtain on Rachel’s Broadway debut in Funny Girl in “Opening Night”!

8pm, ABC
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Whedonverse favorite Amy Acker joins the proceedings in “The Only Light in the Darkness,” though hopefully there’s more to her character than the damsel-in-distressiness that the logline would suggest. She’s Coulson’s lost love, a cellist who finds herself in mortal peril.

8pm, The CW
The Originals
Cami takes drastic measures in her mission to cure Kieran, with unintended (and, it should perhaps go without saying, violent) consequences. Elsewhere in “An Unblinking Death,” Klaus and Elijah clash over their next move with the Crescent Wolves, and a suspicious blast devastates the bayou community.

8pm, PBS
Pioneers of Television
Few of the people featured in this week’s episode are likely to be actual “Doctors and Nurses”—but they play them on TV. Stars recall some of primetime’s great medical dramas, like Dr. Kildare, Marcus Welby, M.D., St. Elsewhere, and ER.

SEASON 6 FINALE, 9pm, Syfy
Face Off
Three artists remain. Two alien characters apiece will be created and have their dancing stamina tested. (Wait, what? Okay then.) One winner will emerge at the end of “Heavenly Bodies.”

9pm, The CW
In “Alex Annie Alexis Ann,” the boys help Sheriff Mills try to rescue a young woman who’s being used as human bait by a vampire family. But is there more to her captivity than it first appears?

9pm, NBC
About a Boy
Will, Sam, and Fiona are among the attendees at a game night thrown by Andy and Laurie, which promptly goes sideways, because watching people enjoy a spirited but uneventful round of Jenga doesn’t make for great TV. Meanwhile in “About a Kiss,” Marcus is discomfited by the identity of his new sitter.

9:30pm, NBC
Growing Up Fisher
Concerned by Henry’s flagging work ethic, Mel gives his son a crash course in professionalism in “Desk/Job.” Elsewhere, Joyce and Katie’s attempts to be more assertive yield mixed results.

9:30pm, Fox
The Mindy Project
Tim Daly, come on down! You’re the Handsome Sitcom Veteran Guest Star of the Week on The Mindy Project! After Mindy gives a young patient birth control pills in "An Officer and a Gynecologist," the girl’s ornery cop father (Daly) takes umbrage with the good doctor.

10pm, FX
Molly trains her investigative gaze Luther’s way in “The Rooster Prince.” Meanwhile, Malvo looks into a blackmail scheme targeting a man known as the Supermarket King.

10pm, BET
The Game
“This is Happening” finds Kelly throwing a surprise baby shower for Tasha. In less festive proceedings, Keira and Blue quarrel over an acting gig that will keep her out of town for a few months.

10pm, MTV
While Jenna has difficulty getting through to Matty in “Listen to This,” Tamara doesn’t miss a beat calling out Jake’s new shaggy-guitar-bro vibe. Seriously, Rosati. What the hell.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Inside Amy Schumer
In “Boner Doctor,” model Chrissy Teigen provides Amy with some therapy, while Amy spends her off-couch time indulging in ritzy hotel accommodations and embarking upon an ill-advised diet.

Faking It
Mistakenly assumed to be lesbians, two best friends vault to the upper echelons of high school popularity in the opener of this new sitcom. How long can they keep up the charade… and just how much of a charade might it really turn out to be?
