What to watch on Tuesday, August 19...

The action series about elite assassins Emmanuelle Chriqui and Emily Osment returns with 12 new episodes, which find the duo locking horns with a drug cartel and trying to stay a step ahead of their former boss.

8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
In “No One Here Can Love or Understand Me,” Melissa spills the beans about the night of Ali’s disappearance while Emily digs into Cyrus’s past. Meanwhile, Hanna seeks Spencer and Toby’s help to address Caleb’s alcohol abuse.

9pm, USA
Royal Pains
Divya and Jeremiah set their differences aside to treat a model who has difficulty eating. Elsewhere in “HankMed on the Half Shell,” Evan tries to put some breathing room between him and Ray, whose past has returned to haunt him, and Hank and Boris return from Argentina with big plans for the foundation.

9pm, TNT
Rizzoli & Isles
Korsak helps the team get to the bottom of a cold case in “Phoenix Rising.” Still not able to go back on duty, Jane takes measures of her own to lend a hand with the investigation.

9pm, El Rey
“Misanthropology” finds Tony playing courier for Galan—with Reyna on his tail. In other business, the CIA must pull an anthropology professor’s bacon out of the fire.

Wizard Wars
In what I believe is the 78th new magician-themed show to debut this summer, teams of prestidigitators compete to craft the most dazzling original illusions before a live audience. Penn & Teller, naturally, lead the judging panel.

SEASON 2 PREMIERE, 10pm, Ovation
A Young Doctor’s Notebook & Other Stories
And speaking of wizards, Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm return for the second season of this period drama, which kicks off with the hospital readying for an inspection by the Zemstvo. The doctor’s problems are only compounded by the sudden arrival of some injured soldiers.

Pierce helps Donnie out of a sticky wicket in “Dirty,” while Pierce’s father gets into a jam of his own after attacking someone at an assisted living facility.

10pm, MTV
Finding Carter
In “Half Baked,” Carter and Taylor join forces to confront Elizabeth after discovering her indiscretions. Coincidentally, I hear it was a similar situation that first prompted Zan and Jayna to activate their Wonder Twins powers together.

10pm, USA
Covert Affairs
“Spit on a Stranger”—which scans perfectly to the chorus of “Smoke on the Water,” so ha, now you’ve got that stuck in your head, too—finds Annie kicking off an undercover mission without the CIA’s backing. Meanwhile, Calder grills Auggie about a protocol breach, and McQuaid Security onboards a new addition.

10pm, FX
Jamal brings the hammer down on his political enemies in “Gaslight,” despite the fact that forcing people to watch every episode of The Following without breaks has long been banned by the Geneva Conventions. In less gruesome goings-on, Barry and Molly’s relationship is on thin ice after she receives worrisome news.

10pm, Comedy Central
Drunk History
Soused stories from the City of Brotherly Love center on Baron von Steuben’s training of George Washington’s Continental Army, the vicious presidential contest between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1800, and Benedict Arnold turning his coat during the Revolutionary War. Performers include Winona Ryder, Chris Parnell, Stephen Merchant, and David Cross.

10:30pm, Comedy Central
Nathan for You
Nathan helps a toy company hawk its wares and aids a movie theater in enforcing its strict policy against sharing food. At last, someone takes a bold stand against the scourge of multiple theatergoers splitting a medium popcorn.

– Jessica Alba, Marcus Haney, and Tove Lo on Conan, 11pm, TBS
– Chloë Grace Moretz on Chelsea Lately, 11pm, E!
– Pierce Brosnan, Tavi Gevinson, and the Madden Brothers on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 11:35pm, NBC
– Joseph Gordan-Levitt, Novak Djokovic, and Robby Johnson on Late Show with David Letterman, 11:35pm, CBS
