What to Watch Tonight: The Finales of Fargo and Playing House and the Premieres of Rizzoli & Isles, Perception, and VH1's I Love the 2000s

What to watch on Tuesday, June 17...

8pm, ABC Family
Pretty Little Liars
As the girls try to adapt to their re-Alison’d existence, Alison herself grapples with the mistrust of her family. Meanwhile in “Whirly Girlie,” the disappearance of Mrs. DiLaurentis sparks new questions.

SEASON 5 PREMIERE, 9pm, TNT
Rizzoli & Isles
While probing the murder of a jogger in “A New Day,” Jane also tries to keep her mother from learning about the bun in her oven. I suspect she’s been watching a lot of Homeland Season 2 for ideas about how to hide a baby bump. Elsewhere, Maura and Frankie deal with the consequences of their smoochies.

9pm, USA
Royal Pains
Hank treats an up-and-coming tennis star whose health may be holding back her career in “All in the Family.” (Fun fact: I too could have been a famous tennis phenom if not for my slight medical condition of being devastatingly uncoordinated and out of shape.) Meanwhile, Evan and Paige hit a turning point, and Hank and Evan react to a revelation about Eddie.

9pm, ABC Family
Chasing Life
In “Help Wanted,” April learns more about her diagnosis and treatment options while redoubling her work efforts. Her latest assignment has her on the trail of a gubernatorial candidate, leading to a clash with the politician’s son and multiple failed attempts to type “gubernatorial” right on the first try.

SERIES PREMIERE, 9pm & 10pm, VH1
I Love the 2000s
VH1’s phalanx of comedians and nostalgia merchants turns its attention on the first ten years of the 21st century. Tonight’s first two episodes examine the years 2000 and 2001, when clean-cut music man Marshall Mathers politely exhorted us to stand up, young Even Stevens star Shia LaBeouf taught a nation to laugh, and Florida became an even bigger punchline than usual. Back-to-back installments progressing through the decade will air at 9pm and 10pm every night this week.

SERIES FINALE, 10pm, FX
Fargo
Malvo locks onto a new target in “Morton’s Fork,” while Gus’s gut has him fixing his sights on a goal of his own. In Lester news, Lester continues to be the damn worst.

SEASON 3 PREMIERE, 10pm, TNT
Perception
“Paris” finds Pierce living peacefully in the City of Lights, but since that would make for a boring show even by summer-on-basic-cable standards, he’s quickly recruited to help solve an international mystery. Back in the States, Max and Dean Paul Haley concoct a cunning plan to lure Pierce home.

10pm, NBC
The Night Shift
An Alamo reenactment gets a mite too realistic, sending scads of injured patients to the ER in “Grace Under Fire.” Meanwhile, Drew must keep a gravely wounded soldier alive under dire circumstances, Jordan’s long-distance boyfriend drops by, and Topher’s scheduled vasectomy prompts plenty of cutting remarks from the staff.

10pm, MTV
Awkward.
The hour-long “Snow Job” sends the gang on a ski trip, where hormones collide in a hail of hook-ups and hostilities. So basically, like every other episode of Awkward. this season except with more North Face gear.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 10pm & 10:30pm, USA
Playing House
As Maggie prepares to welcome her child into the world, both she and Emma become smitten with the delivering doc in “Let’s Have a Baby.” Then “Bugs in Your Eyes” closes out the sleeper sitcom’s rookie season with a christening for Li’l Emma Jr.—and with trouble for Mark.
