What to watch on Wednesday, May 28...

So You Think You Can Dance
The first round of auditions gets underway, at last bringing an end to our nation’s eight-day dry spell without a dancing competition on the primetime schedule.

8pm, ABC Family
Melissa & Joey
Real-life Joe’s brother Matthew Lawrence drops by as TV Joe’s brother in “Uninvited,” and I’m sure it can’t hurt him to get back on the Walt Disney Company payroll with that Boy Meets World spin-off just around the corner. In non-Lawrence-brother-related business, Lennox and Ryder don’t see eye to eye on his future higher education plans.

8:30pm, ABC Family
Baby Daddy
In “Baby Steps,” the gang connives to make sure Ben sees Emma walking for the first time, albeit after he technically misses Emma walking for the first time. That stirs some trips down the memory lane of her infancy, possibly in trusty ol’ clip show format.

9pm, The CW
The 100
Desperate to replenish their food stores, Clarke and Finn wind up in a precarious position in “The Calm.” Elsewhere, Raven makes Bellamy a loaded offer, and Kane lays his life on the line.

9pm, Spike
One Night Only: An All-Star Comedy Tribute to Don Rickles
Jerry Seinfeld, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Johnny Depp, and Robert De Niro are among those turning out to salute the tart-tongued comic legend.

9pm, NBC
The World Music Awards
Monaco’s Monte Carlo Sporting Club is the site of this year’s celebration of the international pop music-industrial complex. Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Flo Rida, and Jason Derulo are among the slated performers.

9pm, History
The World Wars
“Never Surrender” covers the outbreak of World War II. Spoiler alert: Despite the episode’s title, the Axis powers did all eventually surrender.

9pm, PBS
And here’s a big reason why they did: the June 6, 1944 Allied invasion of Europe. “D-Day’s Sunken Secrets” gathers military historians, archaeologists, divers, submersible robots, and other experts to excavate and explore the trove of materiel left behind on the sea floor off Normandy.

“Sex, Drugs, Rock ‘n Roll” finds Grace serving on an FBI task force and looking into a prostitution ring. Back home, her estranged mother’s reappearance throws a wrench into her life, while Tom has news to share.

10pm, ABC
Flynn and Vega probe an apparent act of self-defense that may conceal a darker motive in “They Made Me a Criminal.” As the investigation unfolds, Cross pulls rank and rankles Angie in the process.

– Sarah Silverman on Chelsea Lately, 11pm, E!
– America Ferrera and Honeysuckle Weeks on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, 12:37am, CBS

Matthew Lawrence has always been the much less obnoxious, humble Lawrence brother. Joey on the other hand could make a fortune selling his likeness on punching bags. There's a third brother that you rarely see in anything.
