Watch a New Justified Promo That Channels Star Wars

I hadn't ever thought about it until I saw the video below, but Timothy Olyphant really could be called a poor man's Harrison Ford. That's no diss to Tim—it's actually one heck of a compliment, since Harrison Ford is the king of badass.

Olyphant currently stars in FX's Justified as U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a law enforcer who talks through his teeth and sometimes shoots first and asks questions later without asking any questions at all. And now I see why producers couldn't resist comparing him to another popular anti-hero: Star Wars' Han Solo: Take a look at this awesome new promo for the second season of Justified (it aired last night during Lights Out).

Heck, when he has that hat on, doesn't he have a little Indiana Jones in him too?

Season 2 of Justified premieres Wednesday, February 9 at 10pm on FX.

My favourite show last season was Terriers, so after it was cancelled, I lost all hope for television - especially now that it's IDOL season again so two nights a week I pretty much have to read a book. So I'm thrilled to have Justified back for another 13. Now if they could just get the OTHER AWESOME U.S. Marshall show back on the air "In Plain Sight," by next Wednesday, that would be a great birthday present for me! Especially with so many other shows like "Lie to Me" and "Medium" either winding down for the season, or finishing up for good. There won't be much left to watch. Southland is as terrific as ever, and Fairly Legal looks like it might be fairly good (how HOT is Sarah Shahi!?!) but that still doesn't leave us with much. And now with the success of Hawaii 5-0, the next few years are going to be a GLUT of Charlie's Angels, Dallas, and whatever other tired 80's shows the networks can recycle. Come on folks! The only thing Hawaii 5-0 has in common with the original is the name and the island. The new show doesn't even do "Book 'em Dano" anymore. The guys in charge have to decide to bring back the REALLY campy stuff, like B.J. and the Bear or Six Million Dollar Man. Lord help us if we see the General Lee screaming around dusty Georgia backwoods come Autumn. Or the actually decent drama of the period. I just can't think of any at the moment. But wake up and smell the crude oil guys. Have you SEEN Larry Hagman lately? He is looking ROUGH! And he's had more parts replaced than my neighbour's Hyundai. How about some good original writing? Or at the very least can't we just steal some more UK programming? How about an American Primeval? Or at least an MI-5 that doesn't star part of the cast of Coyote Ugly? Then again, at least a bunch of bad TV shows means less for me to grow attached to. And less heartache down the road...

... Harrison Ford is the king of badass for you, Tim? That statement REALLY makes you look sad and weak, boy!

Yep cant wait for season 2. if its anywhere as awesome as season 1 that'll be mighty fine!

Timothy Oliphant is such a badass. Love the show. Really happy its doing good ratings wise. Now if the rest of the FX line-up can just bring in the same numbers I'd be over the moon.

Justified is one of the few great show that started last year, and one fewest that made it to a second season.
