What to Watch Tonight: 2 Broke Girls, Mel Brooks Strikes Back, and SyFy's 20th Anniversary Special

What to watch on Monday, December 10...

8pm, Fox
American Country Awards
Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth host and perform at the third annual celebration of the best in country music, live from Las Vegas. Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan, and Rascal Flatts are also among the slated performers. No word on whether the ceremony also includes a storyline about the political machinations of Powers Boothe.

Take It All
Howie Mandel hosts this new game show, which tests contestants’ savvy at the subtle art of gift-swapping. The special event airs every weeknight this week, so feel free to mentally insert this exact capsule in the Tuesday through Friday editions of "What to Watch Tonight" as well.

9pm, The CW
Gossip Girl
Blair is concerned for Chuck’s safety in an episode titled “The Revengers.” Intrepid TV.com Gossip Girl correspondent Cory Barker, meanwhile, hopes this signals a chance to take revenge on the entire show by blowing it the hell up à la Kimberly in Melrose Place.

9pm, CBS
2 Broke Girls
Max and Caroline finally open their long-dreamt-of cupcake shop after a season-and-a-half of struggles, wackiness, life lessons, and other stuff I’m only guessing at because I gave up on this show after like five episodes. Tonight features two brand-new offerings back-to-back, starting at 9pm with “And The Big Opening” and followed at 9:30pm by “And The Silent Partner.”

9pm, HBO
Mel Brooks Strikes Back
The comedy legend sits down with BBC creative director Alan Yentob before a live audience at the Geffen Theater. The retrospective of Brooks’ decades-long career as a performer, writer, director, performer, and more will include clips from his films and classic routines.

9pm, Syfy
Syfy 20th Anniversary Special
The SyFy network—née The Sci-Fi Channel—commemorates two decades of existence. Creatives and executives will look back on the evolution of the channel and its defining fare, from the later seasons of Mystery Science Theater 3000 through Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, Alphas, and more. Hosted by the Sharktopus, probably.
