What to watch on Wednesday, December 18...

8pm, CBS
A Home for the Holidays With Celine Dion
The chanteuse hosts the annual event raising awareness of adoption, including guests sharing their own experiences and musical performances from Ne-Yo and Chris Young.

8pm, The CW
iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013
Oh what fun it is for Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias, Austin Mahone, and many more to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight at Madison Square Garden.

8pm, NBC
The Sing-Off
In a world... where only six groups remain in the competition… one song from a blockbuster movie would shape their destinies… help them realize their dreams… and even seal their doom. This winter, from the network that brought you Smash... experience the adventure and the romance of The Sing-Off’s “Movie Night.” Coming soon to a television and/or streaming-enabled device near you.

8pm, Fox
The X Factor
Meanwhile, over on The X Factor, the final three contenders perform for the last time. But they haven’t been given a theme that I can easily spin into a joke, so let’s just move on.

8pm, Bravo
Kathy Griffin: Record Breaker
Kathy Griffin performs at San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre and earns a nod from Guinness for “Most Stand-Up Specials by a Comedian” in her 20th such outing.

SEASON 1 FINALE, 9pm, TNT
Mob City
Mob City, we hardly knew ye. The freshman drama departs as quickly as it arrived, and though it’s almost certainly not going to get a second season, it at least takes home the Bent Memorial Speediest Burnoff of the Year Award as a consolation prize. Fans of the show, enjoy “Oxpecker” and “Stay Down” while you can. Bugsy’s court date is looming, and Parker redoubles his efforts to rid the LAPD of rotten apples.

9pm, E!
E! Entertainment Special: Anchorman 2
After weeks of in-depth investigation, the crack research team here at What to Watch Tonight has learned that a sequel to the 2004 cult comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is in the offing. Having exclusively broken the news of this closely guarded secret, we now hand the baton to Giuliana Rancic, who will interview the cast of the upcoming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

9:30pm, ABC
Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013
Jennifer Lawrence, Kanye West, Edward Snowden, and the wee baby Prince George of Cambridge are among the intriguing personages spotlighted in the journalist’s 21st annual rundown.

10pm, NBC
Michael Bublé’s 3rd Annual Christmas Special
The crooner once again warbles his way through the Christmastime songbook, joined by guests including Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Cookie Monster.

10pm, Bravo
Top Chef
The chefs try to wow the palette of guest-judge Questlove with myriad poultry drumsticks. Later, they do their part to help Louisiana State University’s incoming class pack on the Freshman 15.

10pm, TV Land
Kirstie
In “Little Bummer Boy,” Maddie, Thelma, and Frank forgo their usual anti-Christmas tomfoolery and indulge Arlo with tidings of comfort and/or joy. The lad repays their cheer with a surprise gift: a visit from Maddie’s estranged mom (Cloris Leachman).

10:30pm, TV Land
The Exes
At Holly’s urging, everybody cancels their Christmas plans so they can ring in the season together in “How the Grinch Spent Xmas.” Then Holly decides she’d rather deck the halls with a dashing gent she meets, leaving the others in the fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-lurch.

SEASON 3 FINALE, 10:30pm, Comedy Central
Key & Peele
A new colloquialism is coined, a grumpy boss menaces his employees, and distractions bedevil a man’s phone conversation as the sketch show wraps up one of 2013’s hands-down funniest seasons.

Wow, slim pickens as we close in on the Christmas holiday! If you're not a singing or cooking competition fan, best to use this time to catch up on your favorite shows! For me it's Doctor Who, Boardwalk Empire, Veep, Hey Ladies... And anything else I can come up with.
