What to watch on Thursday, January 30...

8pm, CBS
The Big Bang Theory
Who needs Comic-Con when you’ve got Cooper-Con? That seems to be Sheldon’s thinking in “The Convention Conundrum” when he organizes a rival gathering—and draws at least one satisfied guest in James Earl Jones. No word on whether fellow guest-star Carrie Fisher will be riffing on her iconic role as Jake Blues’ jilted ex.

8pm, NBC
Community
“Analysis of Cork-Based Networking” sends Annie and Prof. Hickey on a bureaucratic odyssey as they prepare the cafeteria for Greendale’s midterm dance. The seemingly simple task enmeshes them in an intricate web of power brokers, in the form of Nathan Fillion, Paget Brewster, Kumail Nanjiani, and Robert Patrick.

8pm, The CW
The Vampire Diaries
In hopes of patching things up with Damon, Enzo arrives bearing gifts in “The Devil Inside.” Horrible, grisly gifts, of course, but gifts nonetheless. Meanwhile, Caroline comes clean about her recent tryst and faces the fallout, Elena grapples with a dire deathtrap, and Matt decides to throw a party because he’s contractually obligated to appear in a certain number of episodes this season.

8:30pm, NBC
Parks and Recreation
“Ann and Chris” commemorates the couple’s last night in Pawnee with a no-expense-spared going-away party thrown by Leslie, who has one last obligation to live up to before they depart. Tom, Ben, Ron, and Andy also put their heads together to come up with the ideal memento for their friends.

9pm, NBC
A Saturday Night Live Sports Spectacular
Seth Meyers hosts a compilation of fan-favorite sketches tackling the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat, and the near-universal inability of athlete guest hosts to hit their marks or deliver lines comfortably.

SEASON 5 FINALE, 9pm, USA
White Collar
The race is on to unearth Mosconi’s hidden gem in “Diamond Exchange.” But with Mozzie’s life on the line, can Neal and Peter beat Rebecca to where X marks the spot?

9pm, Fox
Rake
In “A Close Shave,” Keegan represents a trio of Amish bakers who separated a bishop from his whiskers. Out of court, Keegan’s new transit app directs him to a woman who shares his gambling bug.

9pm, The CW
Reign
Fingers point at Catherine after a scheme to bump off Bash is badly bungled. Elsewhere in “Sacrifice,” Mary reaches out to an unjustly jailed peasant, Lola plays hardball with the queen, and the sparks between Mary and Bash grow sparkier.

9pm, CBS
The Crazy Ones
Bested by a number-cruncher in a creativity competition, Simon fears his mojo is on the wane. Zach and Andrew help to restore the boss’s confidence in “Simon Roberts Was Here,” while Sydney frets about becoming a cat lady and/or languishing in B-story purgatory.

10pm, CBS
Elementary
Studying one of Holmes’s cold cases in “Dead Clade Walking,” Watson identifies a link between a murder and a valuable fossil—but will she be able to [sunglasses] dig up the evidence? [YEEEAAAAHHHHH!] Off the beat, Sherlock’s sobriety sponsor responsibilities steer him well outside his comfort zone.

10pm, TBS
King of the Nerds
With guest judges Bill Nye, Mayim Bialik, and Blake Marggraff on hand, the contestants flex their scientific prowess in “Weird...Science?” Will the challenge require them to create a gorgeous woman/all-powerful techno-genie using only circa-1985 computer parts? Tune in and find out!

10pm, IFC
The Spoils of Babylon
The romantic rivalry between Cynthia and Dixie Melonworth reaches fever pitch in “The Age of the Bastard,” with Devon torn between his lover/sister and his lover/colleague. Elsewhere, Winston becomes CEO (Chief Evil Officer) at the Morehouse Conglomeration.
